I've got Thanksgiving on the BRAIN! Maybe because I'm pregnant and craving my Mom's stuffing and my grandmother's chocolate pie. Or maybe because I get to go HOME! (Shameless plug: 99 Hills is available Nov 24-26 for any video production needs!)
What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? For us, we wake up, Joel usually plays early morning football with friends, I make a light breakfast for me & the kids and the morning is spent playing and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade of course! My Mom is usually in charge of the meal but I help make mashed potatoes, pies, and various other dishes. When we finally sit down for the amazing meal, we all go around the table and say what we're thankful for this year. This is a sweet moment, especially with kids. We've been known to shed a few tears because of losing loved ones but mostly we laugh at whatever the kids say they're thankful for ("my toys").
I love my family and feel so thankful to be able to spend this holiday with them. I miss them very much! This year I am thankful for God leading us to make some big decisions and have faith like never before. Can I pick two things? I'm also thankful for this little life growing inside me right now. He is our little surprise, a baby built completely on faith and trust. Cannot wait to meet him!
What are you thankful for this year? I saw a quote somewhere that says, "There is always, always, always something to be thankful for." Leave a comment and let us know what you're thankful for. Even when things are bleak. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, friends!
